Design Engineering Department and Production Control Office

Ulyanovskiy Priboro-Remontniy Zavod has its own engineering department specializing in the design of tooling (dies and molds) of varying complexity. Molds can vary greatly in size and number of cavities, be equipped with hydraulic cylinders, hot or cold runner systems.


Our company is able to perform all necessary types of design and engineering: from product design to detailed engineering studies of the manufacturing process. Before production start-up you will be given a specialist advice on the necessary issues, if necessary.

Engineering department specialists have a long record of successful work in the design and manufacture of tooling of varying complexity.

Dies and molds are designed in accordance with the terms of reference provided by the customer using modern software for CAD-modeling. Once 3D models of tooling and final product are ready, designers prepare drawings and specifications. Meanwhile, process engineers study the manufacturability of a product and inform designers about the features that must be taken into account when designing the tooling.

The documentation developed by the design engineering department is provided to the customer for approval. After approval, it ends up in the process department to be reviewed by process engineers. This stage determines the technological features of the manufacture of tooling, as well as machining methods. It is here that a dedicated production tooling is developed. After that, the whole suite of documents ends up in the tool shop.

Process engineers and designers of the department are competent in the development of design of industrial products, namely: consumer goods, interior design items, automotive components, etc.
